Intro: From Rags to Pitches

Today, I was humbled to attend a showing of a documentary presented by StartUp Maryland. It detailed the journey the STRT1UP team embarked on last year in their annual Pitch Across Maryland tour, where fresh, new entrepreneurs pitch their start up ideas in the Startup Maryland trailer(as seen below).

Amongst the hardcore networking, I found myself reflecting on the numerous trials and tribulation I faced last year. Even though I can now admit I had hit rock bottom, I would say in the midst of the storm, getting to connect with Mike Binko and the rest of the STRT1UP crew was one of the greatest rays of hope. Now that I am finally out of that storm (...forecast to be detailed in a later post), I see just how "elastic" I am. I could explain all the amazing opportunities I have stumbled upon in just the first half off this year, but remember patience is a virtue (and silence is golden).
